Dermovate Cream is a potent and quickly effective solution for stubborn inflamed skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis, especially when milder topical steroids fail to provide relief.
Dermovate Cream is intended solely for external use. You should not use Dermovate Cream if you are allergic to any of its components. Prolonged use of corticosteroids on large skin areas, raw skin, skin folds, or beneath airtight dressings (including diapers) can lead to increased absorption into the body. This raises the likelihood of local side effects, such as thinning skin, and systemic effects, such as reduced natural hormone production by the adrenal glands. Therefore, it is important to avoid continuous long-term application of this medication whenever possible, especially in children and over large skin areas. Only use airtight dressings on the affected region if your doctor directs you to do so.
Dermovate Cream should be applied in a thin, even layer to the affected areas. Avoid contact with the eyes and moist mucous membranes, such as those in the mouth and nasal passages. If accidental contact occurs, rinse with cold water. Long-term use of Dermovate Cream should be minimized. If there is no improvement in your skin after two to four weeks of treatment, consult your doctor. Certain medications should be avoided during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Not suitable for use in: acne vulgaris; children under 1 year; chronic inflammatory facial skin conditions (acne rosacea); viral skin infections (e.g., Herpes simplex, chickenpox), fungal infections (e.g., thrush, ringworm, athlete’s foot), or bacterial infections (e.g., impetigo); inflammatory rash around the mouth (perioral dermatitis); itching around the anus and genitals; widespread plaque psoriasis.
Individuals may experience different reactions to medicines and their potential side effects. The mention of a side effect here does not guarantee that all users of Dermovate Cream will experience any of these effects, which may include: skin thinning, skin pigmentation changes, stretch marks (striae), visible small blood vessels under the skin (telangiectasia), and excessive hair growth (hypertrichosis).
